The Guide to Understanding High Blood Pressure
Understanding High Blood Pressure:
Blood pressure (BP) is the force of the blood against the walls of the arteries. Blood pressure is recorded as two numbers — the systolic pressure (your blood pressure rises as the heart beats, pumping the blood) over the diastolic pressure (as the heart relaxes between beats, your blood pressure falls). The measurement is written one above or before the other, with the systolic number on top and the diastolic number on the bottom.
For example, a blood pressure measurement of 119/78 mmHg (millimeters of mercury) is expressed verbally as "119 over 78". High blood pressure (HBP) should be more than 140 mmHg systolic AND more than 90 mmHg diastolic. Hypertension has same meanings as HBP.
Risk Factors of High Blood Pressure: HBP could increase your risk for getting heart disease, heart failure and/or kidney disease, and for having a stroke if you fail to control your HBP/Hypertension.
High Blood Pressure Symptoms:
frequent headaches or dizziness or confusion.blurred vision.frequent nosebleeds.
If you experience any of above symptoms, see your doctor immediately, your HBP may be treated with medications, exercise/workout and natural treatment. Find out about the effective method on how to lower your high blood pressure naturally.
