Understanding Types of Diabetes
TYPES OF DIABETES:
Type 1 Diabetes
It happens when the body does not make any insulin. Even it happens during childhood, but it can develop at any age. It's about 5-10 percent of people with diabetes have Type 1. Basically, symptoms of Type 1 diabetes include a high sugar count in the blood and urine, frequent urination, extreme hunger, extreme thirsty, weakness, mood swings, and nausea.
Type 2 Diabetes
It happens when the body does produce insulin, but either cannot process it or doesn't make enough. mostly older people who are diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes.
Type 2 diabetes develops slowly; some people go years without symptoms, which include increased appetite, thirst, and urination; blurred vision; numbness of hands and feet; and slow-healing infections of the skin, gums, vagina or bladder.
Gestational Diabetes
It develops in about 4 percent of pregnant women in the USA. if left untreated, it can increase the risk of breathing problems in infancy and obesity in childhood as well as the risk of Type 2 diabetes in adulthood.
