DEFINE ASTHMA:
Asthma is a respiratory condition where a chronic lung disease that inflames and narrows the Bronchial tubes. When the airways react, it becomes sensitive and narrow, the less air flows to your lungs, the more difficult you breathe. It was reported that more than 20 million people who were diagnosed with asthma, including more than 6 million children who experienced same asthma problems.
ASTHMA SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS:
Shortness of birth.Chest tightness or pain.Coughness at night or early morning makes it difficult to sleep.Audible whistling sounds when you wheeze.
WHAT CAUSES ASTHMA:
The American Lung Association says these factors trigger asthma symptons in many people:
Respiratory infections like common cold or flu.
Cold air.
Family history of allergy or asthma problems.
Excessive physical activity (exercise-induced asthma).
Allergic reactions to airborne problems such as pet dander, mold or dust mites etc.
Air pollutants.
Exposure to any cigarette smoke.
ASTHMA DIAGNOSIS:
You should see your doctor immediately if you experience one of Asthma symptoms. Your doctor would use Spirometry and Peak flow meter tests to determine if you are diagnosed with Asthma.
